[b]Annie Lennox[size=3] [/size][/b]生於蘇格蘭的亞伯丁，從小對音樂有興趣，長大之後進入倫敦的Royal Academy of Music學習古典音樂。80年代，她加入名為「The Tourists」的流行樂隊，並開始錄音。1980年她與戴夫·史都華組成舞韻樂團（Eurythmics），翌年正式出道，並以《Sweet Dreams》和《Here Comes the Rain Again》等歌曲成名。90年代後她主攻獨唱，擁有《Diva》和《Medusa》兩張暢銷專輯。2004年，因為參與創作並演唱電影《魔戒》插曲《Into the West》，獲得奧斯卡最佳原創歌曲獎。Annie Lennox嗓音粗厚嘶啞，富有原野的魅力，她演出時也喜歡穿怪異的服裝和誇張的動作。
